Lifeline Strategies has launched a new class on writing effective, compliant operating procedures, especially under the offshore Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) regulations. SEMS has very specific requirements for operating procedures. Auditors, the Center for Offshore Safety and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement have all identified operating procedures as one of the top areas for improvement. Make sure your company is following the rules!
Classes are scheduled for:
Lafayette, LA: Wednesday, May 3. Email us for details.
Houston, TX: Thursday, May 4. Click here for information and to register.
Attend a free preview presentation on using operating procedures to meet the regulations and to supercharge your safety program.
Thursday, April 13th, we will be speaking on procedure writing at the ASSE Energy Corridor Section in Houston from 1100-1300. The meeting will be held at the Spring Creek BBQ in Katy. Buy your own lunch, the meeting is free and you don’t have to be an ASSE member (although I strongly urge you to join this valuable organization).
The actual class covers:
- Procedures under the SEMS rule,
- Best practices for writing clear, concise procedures that can be used in the field,
- Using procedures to identify and control hazards, and
- Managing procedures as a part of a system.
